Accessibility Statement
Last updated 23 July 2026
Wenara is committed to making the therapist web app and patient companion usable by people with disabilities. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, which is the practical benchmark used under Australia's Disability Discrimination Act 1992 and aligned with ADA Title III, Section 508, the European Accessibility Act, and AODA.
1. Scope
This statement covers:
- The Wenara therapist web application (practice dashboard, clinical workflows, settings)
- The Wenara patient companion mobile app (iOS / Android)
- Public pages linked from this site (Privacy, Terms, this statement, and the marketing landing page)
Features labelled Coming soon in Settings are disabled previews and are out of scope for conformance claims until they ship.
2. Measures we take
- Skip link and main landmark on the therapist app
- Keyboard-operable dialogs with focus management
- Respect for
prefers-reduced-motion - Accessible names on icon-only controls
- Persistent field labels (not placeholder-only)
- Patient app: screen-reader semantics, larger tap targets, text scale and reduce-motion preferences
- Authenticator-app MFA enrolment with labelled QR and code fields
3. Conformance status
Engineering target: WCAG 2.2 Level AA.
We have completed an internal engineering remediation pass. We have not yet published a third-party Accessibility Conformance Report (ACR / VPAT). Until that report is available, we do not claim formal certified conformance.
When the ACR is ready, it will be linked from this page as a PDF (ITC VPAT 2.5 / WCAG edition).
4. Known limitations
- Some dense clinical forms still have high cognitive load (COGA guidance is an ongoing design priority).
- Rich-text tooling in Inbox is lightly ATAG-adjacent and continues to improve.
- Formal VoiceOver / TalkBack UAT on crisis and consent flows is scheduled as part of pilot hardening.
5. Compatibility
The therapist web app is designed for current evergreen browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge) with keyboard access and common screen readers (VoiceOver, NVDA, JAWS). The patient app targets current iOS and Android releases with VoiceOver and TalkBack.
6. Feedback
If you encounter a barrier, email accessibility@wenara.health (or privacy@wenara.health). Please include the page or screen, what you were trying to do, and the assistive technology you use if relevant. We aim to acknowledge within 5 business days.
